The vital records registered at the Embassy, are regularly sent by diplomatic pouch to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, which in its turn transmits it to the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, in order to register it in the Lebanese civil registers. The required documents for a Divorce registration :
* Download and fill out a Divorce Application Form.
* The Original and Final Divorce Judgment, legalized by the State Chancellery, with a copy.
* The translation of the Divorce Judgment in arabic, legalized by the State Chancellery, with a copy.
* Two copies of a recent Family Extracts of Civil Status (not older than one year).
* Two copies of the Lebanese Marriage Certificate.
* In order to finalize the registration of a divorce before the Lebanese competent authorities, a special power of attorney should be made to a lawyer or a representative in Lebanon, including his address and telephone number.
Consular fees :
* CHF 63.00 for the registration and legalization of Divorce Jugement + 2/1000 of any amount of money mentioned in the Divorce Jugement. Maximun fees : CHF 2500.00.
* CHF 40.00 for the legalization of each page of the divorce Jugement's translantion.
